A few weeks ago we took family pictures with Katelyn of Katelyn Owens Photography. I had in mind what I wanted and it completely matched Katelyn's style. Going into the shoot I had high hopes for my kids cooperating. Big mistake.
As soon as we got there we lined up and in the few minutes (seconds?) it took Katelyn to get her camera ready Finley was done standing still and this continued through the whole shoot. Finley is an active girl and she was just being herself in front of the camera. We did the second part of the shoot in the park by the water and all the kids wanted to do was run around and play. They weren't standing still and Judah even ended up cutting his hand. I left our time with Katelyn tired and really, really nervous that not even one picture would turn out.
Obviously, Katelyn far surpassed my expectations. So much so that I have to split up all of my favorite pictures into two posts. Katelyn did an amazing job and was so fast and good with the kids. The photos are even better than what I had imagined. In Part 2 I'll share a few tips for styling and taking pictures with kids. Hope you love the pictures!
