Scuba Diving is a form of underwater diving. The word SCUBA is an acronym for ?self contained underwater breathing apparatus?. With independent breathing equipment scuba divers can stay underwater for longer period of time. Basically scuba diving is a joy of floating like a fish as the underwater city is the unique and diverse collection of colorful and weirdly patterned sea animals. The person who loves sport and adventurous, always have a thrill to watch the rich flora and fauna of the sea.
TV shows on Discovery, National geographic and animal planet has given a new idea about the beauty and adventure of the oceans. Everyone has different reason for scuba diving but it is the thrill of enjoyment of experiencing the underwater world. It has become an?exciting?career option among youth.
Anyone do scuba dive but children with 8 yrs age can be trained and at the age of 10 they can be certified as Junior open water Divers. Under the age of 15 they can be certified as Open water divers. This also requires good health, means you should be free of any medical problems. It requires focus, clear thinking, and cooperation. It calls a lot for courage not for the faint hearted. It is meant to be a part time job. It is brilliant career path. Many students is opting it not only as a part time career but full time also.
There are many types of scuba diving but some of the popular scuba diving is recreational, technical, commercial and military. Recreational diving is devoted to having fun. After open water certification you can complete course in all sorts of specialties like night diving, fish identification, deep diving, navigation, Videography, cave diving, ice diving, rescue diving and attitude diving. Technical diving is for very experienced recreational divers. It embraces extreme deep diving, advanced wreck diving and advanced cave diving. Commercial divers do scuba diving for living by building underwater structures like conduct surveys create maps, carry out under maintenance and work in many other diver related occupations. Military diving is similar to commercial diving but it involves job tasks like underwater surveillance, mine clearing and military research.
You can dive anywhere you want but diving is dangerous if you are not properly qualified or ignore the rules. Before going in to water ensure physical fitness, take advice of the instructor, wet suit is necessary for the first time swimmer, have a diving partner, check whether scuba equipments are functional or not.
