Hero's Journey is the model on which most successful stories and Hollywood blockbusters ? understanding this template is a priority for story or screenwriters.
The Hero's Journey:
? The attempts that unconscious expectations the audience regarding what a story is, and how they should be told to take advantage.
? From the writer more structural elements than simply three or four acts, plot points, midpoint, and soof.
? Interpretation metaphorically, laterally and symbolically, allows an unlimited number of different stories to be created.
Hero's Journey is also a study of repeating patterns in successful stories and screenplays. It is interesting that writers are more likely for the quality of work, when they found the recurring pattern in successful screenplays mirror.
Screenplay Tips: Push and Pull for the final battle
A usefulPerspective is to consider the script as a push hero's journey toward the inevitable final battle (and beyond).
Many do not want to be pushed down and resist hero. This may be associated with warnings, prohibitions, obstacles and disappointments. But inevitably, the hero must continue. In The Shawshank Redemption (1994), Andy Dusfresne is involuntary, but a traveler must go to him.
The hero will be designed so ready for adventure, however, obstacles, warnings, and bansPunishment to stop him. In Star Wars (1977), Luke wants to become a Jedi like his father, but Uncle Owen will have none of it. In Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981), Indy wants to discover the Ark, but Marcus and Sallah warn him of danger.
