This is an UNPAID internship! An internship with the Human Resources (HR) Department of the Manhattan Division of Jewish Home Life will allow students to gain experience at one of the largest skilled nursing facility in New York City.
This internship will offer an opportunity to be involved in meaningful work/projects in Human Resources ; be exposed to daily HR operations; attend informational sessions; assist in human resources activities and handle day to day assigned clerical tasks including answering telephone calls, scanning, filing and faxing.
Skills/Requirements Must be currently enrolled in Bachelor?s degree program Ideal candidate should be pursuing a Business, Human Resources Management or Industrial/Labor Relations major.
Interest in pursuing a career in the field of Human Resources preferably in healthcare Ability to operate independently and in a team environment with little supervision Interest/working knowledge in Human Resources, Recruitment, Training and/or Healthcare Excellent project management and organizational skills.
Ability to successfully handle multiple assignments.
Prior Human Resources internship and/or experience (a plus).
Proven written & oral communications and presentations skills required.
Strong working knowledge of computer software programs including MS Word and Excel.
