Who says health screenings can't be fun?

Pretend City's 3rd annual Family Fun & Wellness Fair is happening, rain or shine, on Saturday, March 17, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Natalie Johnston, a licensed speech-language pathologist with Speech Pathology Associates, holds picture cards and asks a child to point to specific pictures.

The Good to Go! From Head to Toe event will feature live music and performances, face painting and prize giveaways in addition to several free health screenings for children. There will be medical professionals on-site to answer questions as well.

Every child who participates in at least three screenings will receive admission to Pretend City for a later date.

Screenings include speech and language, developmental, fine, gross and oral motor, social and emotional, hearing, dental, orthodontics, health and nutrition, ages and stages developmental questionnaires, and BMI.

SeaBirds Food Truck will be on hand, as well as LuLu's Creperie Cafe and Jamba Juice.

Due to heavy rain forecast, the event will be held inside Pretend City Children's Museum, located at 29 Hubble in Irvine. Admission to the museum is free during wellness fair hours.
